Bridge to the Doctorate

Thank you for your interest in our Bridge to the Doctorate Fellowship Program at Colorado State University. The BD program is administered through the Graduate Center for Diversity and Access.

Application Information
" Admission is governed by the standards of the Graduate School, the graduate program to which you are applying and the Graduate Center on Diversity and Access.
" Applicants are encouraged to apply for the BD Fellowship program by February 15 for full consideration. STEM department application deadlines may be much earlier than February 15. Applications received after Feb. 15 will be considered as long as awards are available.
" Final admission is contingent upon successful completion of an undergraduate degree and fulfillment of all eligibility requirements.

Minimum eligibility qualifications
" BS in a STEM discipline from a LSAMP Program college or university.
" US citizen or Permanent Resident
" Undergraduate cumulative GPA of 3.0 on 4.0 scale
" Entering CSU as a first year, full time, STEM graduate student
" Planning to pursue a PhD and seek a career as a university professor
" Have been admitted to the CSU Graduate School and a STEM graduate program
" Both the Graduate School and your STEM graduate program may have additional eligibility criteria

" Contact STEM graduate programs of interest.
" Review websites; talk to graduate coordinators and faculty members.
" Choose the program that matches you and your interests.
" Visit the program web site for details about applying and complete an application

III. Bridge to the Doctorate Fellowship Program Application

The Bridge to the Doctorate is a supplement award to CSU's Louis Stokes Alliances for Minority Participation Grant (LSAMP).
